Goodnight, Grandma

Writer: Shelby HumphriesShelby Humphries

I’ve been a little quiet lately, and will continue to take everything easy over the next month or so as I go through this hard time with my family.

My Grandma got rushed into hospital last week, then on Thursday night she slipped away from this world to rejoin her husband and my grumpsy.

Needless to say, I’ve been very upset by this and am not in the best state of mind so I’ll be taking things one day at a time with my work. Some days I cannot even bare to pick up a henna cone and create- as my creativity turns dry. Other days I need distractions and on those days I have managed to get a lot done.

I’ll be helping to arrange her funeral in the comming weeks so will be distracted from my work.

I regards to orders, I will complete them as quick as I am able, like always. If there is a rush, then please let me know so I can try my best to focus on it to get it done quickly for you.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and for understanding.

Goodnight Grandma. You were the strongest person I knew. You taught me how to draw and paint and you encouraged me to chase my dreams, even when they felt and looked so far away and unreachable. I know you were proud of me untill the end and I pray that I will contunue to do so untill my end.
