Belly Blessings

Henna is considered to be sacred, with protective properties, and also carrying the blessings of the goddess Lakshmi- the goddess of wealth, health, abundance and fertility. It is said that whoever is adorned with henna will be blessed by Lakshmi, which makes it a beautiful modern tradition to adorn your bump with this sacred and divine paste to attract the goddesses blessings and love through the birthing.

Belly blessings are also beautiful and are a good excuse to get off your feet, sit down, and be pampered.

My henna is safe for pregnant women, I only use water, henna powder, sugar and a small amount of lavender essential oil. Consult your midwife or doctor if you are unsure about any of the ingredients.

I charge my hourly rate for these appointments (£40/hour). Typically takes between 1-2 hours.

For best results and speed, I ask that you stay sitting as still as you can- very animated talking and fidgeting will make it difficult for lines to come out straight.

For bookings at your home, I recommend making sure children are looked after by someone else in a different room or are taken out. Dogs and curious cats should also be kept away for the duration of the appointment. Soothing and relaxing background music makes for a lovely peaceful setting- you are being pampered after all!

For appointments where you come to me, I recommend wearing a crop top or a very loose top.

I will set up my henna snugg with scented candles, soothing music, and you will have soft cushions around to help you get comfortable for the duration of the appointment.

Let me know prior to the appointment what sort of style or designs you like- mandalas, flowers, bold, any words? Also feel free to send over any photos of designs you like. Please note I don't copy designs by other artists, but rather I will use them as inspiration to create your own unique design.

A non-refundable deposit of 1 hour will be required to secure your booking.
